Important note to all parents:
Jim Herbek received an email warning in
reference to "Sideline Management-Federation Rules" from the Referee
Association. It seems even with repeated warnings issued over the P.A. System
and from our coaches, we had spectators on the wrong side of the rope
during our home games against West Paterson. Due to some sideline injuries to
spectators in other states which resulted in lawsuits, new "restricted area"
rules were instituted this season from the Referee Association. Sideline
management is very serious and much more of a concern this year than in year's
past. All players, coaches, equipment managers, and statiticians need to be
two yards from sideline when the ball is snapped. All spectators must remain
behind the rope. Failure to comply results in a warning, then a (5) yard
penalty, then (15) yard penalties thereafter. This rule is for the safety of
all who attend the games. Thank you in advance for your full cooperation.
